Analyzing target audience





This is Jon, He is 17 Years old and currently Studies full time at school for his A-levels, He has a keen interest in media and music in particular these being his favourite subjects. Whist studying he also works part time on Saturdays in a local music store. He Enjoys playing the guitar, listening to music and hanging out with his friends during is feel time. His favourite music is off a rock and indie genre and he enjoys going to concerts of his favourite bands such as 'Forever is the sickest kids', 'Greenday', 'Billy Talent' and 'Kids in a glass house' He buys lots of his clothes from online clothing stores, HMV, and various band and music stores. He enjoys magazine such as Kerrang, Rocksound and NME. Being a student he has a limited amount of disposable income and relies on the £30 a week he earns from work. Looking at Maslows Theory of needs magazine come very low on the on needs of Jon, because of this the magazine is going to have to have features that appeal to him like the others he currently buying. Things such as festival line ups and gig dates inside are all things that will attract him to buy it as well as information on new bands and some of his current favourites.
